Big Haul ©2011

My home and studio is in Los Angeles, CA where I am also an Associate Professor of Set Design at the USC School of Dramatic Arts.

I have enjoyed working across the country and traveling abroad, especially to the Czech Republic for the international conference, the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space. PQ2019 is my 3rd PQ over the last 12 years. In 2011, I taught a workshop called Material Fetish with Janne Larsen, and my work has been selected for the U.S. exhibit in both 2015 and 2019.

Over the past few years, a lot of time has been spent in CA & Oregon, designing at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Portland Center Stage. Regional set design credits also include productions at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Theatre for a New Audience (NY), ACT (San Francisco), Woolly Mammoth Theatre (DC), Lookingglass Theatre (Chicago), Seattle Repertory, Portland Playhouse, Berkeley Repertory, Arizona Theatre Company.

In Los Angeles, I stay busy designing for a variety of theatres and venues. I explore design through sculpture and installation and have exhibited in a variety of Southern California gallery spaces. Some of my favorite designs have been for children and families such as designing the giant dinosaur puppet stage at The Natural History Museum of LA County, a touring pop-up set for Keiser’s Educational Theatre program, and Toy Story the Musical for a Disney Cruise ship.
